SYNOPSIS
After a mysterious unholy incident nearly gets Elder Hinckley dishonorably sent home from his Mormon mission, he gets another chance and a new companion - innocently naive: Elder Mihaas.
It’s up to Elder Hinckley to show him the ropes of what it takes to be a Mormon missionary. It’s a strict and pious life, living with other missionaries in one house. Well kind of, it’s like a frat house except it’s filled with pubescent alter boys.
After a lot of door-knocking, they soon land in hot water and must get a baptism in record time if Elder Hinckley has any hope of staying on the mission and not being disowned by his famous Mormon family.
That’s when they bump into Nascar, a redneck who is the least likely convert, in the middle of burying his dead wife - they strike a deal: burial for a baptism.
Over the course of the season, the boys teach Nascar how to be a good Mormon and in return, he teaches them his odd real-world life lessons and together they navigate what it means to be Mormon. As a result, Elder Hinckley soon questions his identity and if this life path is for him.
